Dream Sports Foundation launches ‘DreamJab’ program with Mary Kom Regional Boxing Foundation

This program aims to train and support future Indian boxing world champions. 30 talented young athletes will receive extensive training in the sport of boxing. With the vision of creating special opportunities for the growing number of female athletes in India, 20 of the 30 athletes selected under the “DreamJab” program will be women.

It is a program created, organized and owned by the Dream Sports Foundation with the purpose and objective of developing, nurturing and mentoring boxers from grassroots to elite level to enable them to compete in competitions national/international.

The three (3) year program will be offered at Mary Kom Boxing Academy in Manipur, where DSF will provide holistic support to athletes in the form of training and benchmark training, equipment, accommodation, nutrition and education with participation. in various national and international tournaments.

“DreamJab” builds on the success of DSF’s previous collaboration with MKRBF in 2021 to support six gifted young female boxers. To further strengthen the partnership between the two foundations, Mary Kom will also join DSF as an advisor to work towards their common goal of creating a meaningful impact in the Indian sports ecosystem.

Speaking at the launch event at DSF headquarters in Mumbai, Olympic bronze medalist and 6-time world champion, Mary Kom said, “I thank the Dream Sports Foundation for supporting my mission to provide training impactful to India’s talented youth. I hope I can ensure that no promising future boxer has to endure the same hardships that I have gone through. Through this collaboration, we will provide world-class mentorship and all-round support to athletes so that they can focus on excellence in their sport and make the country proud.”

Through non-profit activities and initiatives, Dream Sports Foundation strives to achieve Dream Sports’ goal of improving sports in India. To date, DSF has financially supported over 4,500 members of the Indian sports ecosystem through ‘Back on Track’, reached over 2,000 young children through 9 local partnerships and helped secure over 135 medals through its elite athlete development program – ‘Stars of Tomorrow’.
