Thor Bjornsson talks Eddie Hall fight

Eddie Hall wants to fight Polish strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski as part of a plan to continue his boxing journey after settling his rivalry with Thor Bjornsson.

The British star will finally step into the ring with longtime rival Bjornsson this weekend as the pair prepare to do battle in Dubai. Hall trained for around two years in preparation for the clash and lost around 40kg in a remarkable transformation.

Hall is confident he can pick up a first win in the sport this weekend and thinks a host of boxing celebrity clashes have certainly taken off. “I want to move on to another fight and I know for a fact that Thor doesn’t want revenge,” Hall told Muscle and Health. “I don’t blame him. He knows what awaits him and he doesn’t want it to happen again.

“At the end of the day, I’ve been boxing for two years, and I put my heart and soul into it, so it would be a shame to fight once and go out. I’d like to wear I’m not saying I want fight with professional boxers, but I think that kind of celebrity clash has really taken off.

“Mariusz Pudzianowski came to my channel and having met him, he seems like a nice guy. So it would be nice to do some business. It could be another strongman battle. Another clash of the title.”

Pudzianowski is the most successful athlete in the history of the World’s Strongest Man competitions, winning the event five times. He is known as “Domination” and has over 500,000 social media followers.

The Polish star also fought in MMA having had 24 fights while recording 16 wins in the sport. He’s much older at 45, which could be a potential obstacle to any in-ring showdown.

Hall suffered a detached bicep injury in training last year and was therefore unable to meet his previous scheduled date with Bjornsson in September. He has since suffered from a lung infection but is now in Dubai ready to take part in fight week activities.

The pair were embroiled in a heated confrontation where both men accused each other of spitting after being separated by the teams of the two fighters. Hall and Bjornsson insulted each other after meeting for the first time.

Hall previously sent Bjornsson a warning message in the hotel’s communal gym, writing: “To Thor/Numbnuts. Just wanted to wish you all the best and can’t wait to smash your face/correct your face Saturday. Keep dribbling. Say your yes men, they’re doing a great job of making you think you’re good and gargling your shit man.”
