Jake Paul update on KSI vs. Alex Wassabi

British star KSI has declared himself the ‘king’ of the YouTube boxing scene after helping start the trend in 2018.

The YouTube star will return to the ring on August 27 – nearly three years after his last feat against Logan Paul. KSI – real name JJ Olatunji – began his career in the boxing ring with a white-collar fight against fellow content creator Joe Weller, which started the video streaming platform’s personality fight trend.

Olatunji claimed that he could now devote his time to training again after launching his hugely successful music career. “That’s why, ladies and gentlemen, I’m so excited to be back in the ring now, I can shoot so many people,” Olatunji said during a video reacting to TikTok clips on his YouTube channel. “Obviously after beating Logan I had to focus on one of my main goals in life.

“You know how to make violin music. I’ve always made music throughout my life and it was something I had to pursue. Now I feel like I’m in a really good place. space musically What’s going on, what am I missing, now y’all calling all these motherfuckers saying KSI ain’t this and that!

“Don’t you understand who I am? I’m the baby king. It was Joe Weller, Theo Baker and then me. I took it to crazy levels and then it was like I was out. I’m back.

“I’m so excited to get back in the ring and I’ll show everyone that I’m the greatest boxer on YouTube. And then there will be the silence of all these haters. I watched all these p**** * like Jack [Paul] and Austin [McBroom] thinking they are sick, wait.”

Olatunji defeated Weller in his first fight before battling to a majority draw with Paul in his second amateur contest. The pair then turned pro for their second meeting, which Olatunji won via split decision. He came face to face with Logan’s brother Jake after launching his boxing career and the pair frequently exchanged fiery words over what would arguably be the biggest boxing fight on YouTube.

He then launched his music career by releasing two major hit albums in the previous two years. Olatunji also continued to film videos with the extremely popular group Sidemen, which has more than 10 million subscribers on the YouTube platform. His next fight was announced with no opponent or venue despite his strong association with Alex Wassabi.

Paul revealed that his charge is currently in talks with Olatunji about a reunion. “We’re shooting for that KSI fight in August,” Paul said. “I think it could very easily happen, it’s just KSI’s side that he gets in the ring, he keeps talking about it and he’s been talking about it for what seems like years now.”
