The VIP Boxing double poster will be shown on SportyStuffTV
VIP BOXING has announced that its double title poster at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 8th October will be broadcast live by SportyStuffTV for FREE.
The top of the poster is a local boxer Reece Mold (15-1, 6 KOs) who challenges Bradford Hamed Ghaz (18-0, 4 KOs) for the vacant IBO Continental Lightweight Championship.
The second title contest will be another all-Yorkshire battle when the Leeds warrior Zahid Hussein (16-2, 2 KOs) meets former rival, Razak Najib (12-4, 2 KOs) for the vacant english super bantamweight title.
Both contests are 50/50 and will give bookmakers headaches when evaluating the thrilling ten-round battles.
Promoter Steve Woodresponsible for VIP boxing: “I am delighted that SportyStuff TV is broadcasting the main events for free on their various platforms.
“It ensures huge visibility for everyone on the poster and it is especially nice that two of the boxers from title contests Reece Mold and Zahid Hussein are being promoted by VIP Boxing.
“We have two true 50/50 championship competitions that other promoters talk about but consistently fail.”
VIP Boxing works on the show alongside local community club Freedom Boxing and its head trainer Jimmy Harington says it will be a memorable event. He added: “It’s great to be working with VIP Boxing to bring back boxing on a large scale to Doncaster. It’s been a long time since the TV cameras were around for boxing.
“Steve has been in two major title contests and is putting together a great undercard that includes five of my local guys, who I’m sure will be well supported.”
Mould, 27, hopes defeating the unbeaten Ghaz will line up a second British title fight. He performed heroically when he challenged Leigh Wood for the British featherweight title last year losing to the current WBA world champion in nine rounds.
Hussein is hungry for revenge against Sheffield’s Najib after losing on points in their ten-round encounter in March 2019, and says: “It was controversial last time and it’s the one I’m desperate to avenge.”
The undercard will air on the VIP boxing YouTube channel with both championship fights live on SportyStuffTV (@Sky 437 @Freesat 250 @Freeview 264 and www.sportystuff.tv) VIP Boxing will announce the undercard next week, but it will include Roman Fury, the brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Tommy Fury.
Ticket prices £40 general and £60 ringside are available from vipboxing.frall boxers on display and 01942 874241.
