When Aaron Bronsteter explained why fellow MMA reporter John Morgan can ask the first question at UFC press conferences

The combat sports journalistic community is teeming with talent, with figures like John Morgan, Ariel Helwani and Aaron Bronsteter leading the pack. Fans have often wondered why John Morgan always had the option to kick off press conferences with the first question.

In a social media post in February 2020, MMA reporter Aaron Bronsteter offered fans a glimpse of the same. The post was in response to a question from a fan during a question-and-answer session on Twitter.

“John is almost always the first to line up at the check-in and is well respected in space. It has almost become a tradition at this point. It is a testament to the hard work (John Morgan),” said writes Aaron Bronsteter on Twitter.

In a video posted to the official UFC Fight Pass Twitter account, John Morgan was seen attending a Cage Fury Fighting Championship event. Morgan drank a glass of beer after briefly considering pouring it into a shoe and drinking it.

Morgan shared the post and revealed he is heading to New York to cover all the action that will take place at UFC 268. The UFC is about to treat fans with an absolutely star-studded card to the UFC 268 which will take place at Madison Square Garden.

The card is set to be titled by Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington, with the UFC welterweight title on the line. The clash is a rematch between the two that could settle their feud once and for all.

Colby Covington suffered a KO / TKO loss at the hands of “The Nigerian Nightmare” in the fourth round of UFC 245 in December 2019. However, he immediately called for a rematch, citing poor refereeing from the referee, who would have brought the fight too soon.

Additionally, Rose Namajunas and Weili Zhang are set to face each other again after the shocking end of their first meeting at UFC 261. Namajunas walked away from that fight as the new strawweight champion after having headed off Weili in the first round.
